Medavie Community Teaching Kitchen
Our heartfelt thanks to the Medavie, whose $150,000 grant helped fund the Peter McKee Centre’s first ever community teaching kitchen. The kitchen focuses on cooking nutritious meals as well as food safety and preservation. Although most of its programs are geared towards low-income individuals and families, we welcome anyone who wants to make smart, healthy choices.
Want to Volunteer?
We need plenty of volunteers to help teach and organize cooking, nutrition and general life skills courses and workshops. For more information, email firstname.lastname@example.org or subscribe to our email list.
We’re thrilled to introduce you to our new community kitchen facilitator Adam O’Brien.
With over 20 years in the culinary industry, he brings a broad background of knowledge to our kitchen. Formerly the Chef at Gusto here locally, Adam is passionate about food and we’re looking forward to learning from his experience.
