CAREER POSTING: Administrative Assistant/Bookkeeper

Food Depot Alimentaire (FDA) is a non-profit organization which services over 40 various food banks, soup kitchens, crisis centres, school breakfast programs, after school programs, etc. in Southeastern NB. It is also the provincial distribution centre for all of NB on behalf of the New Brunswick Association of Food Banks (NBAFB).
The successful candidate will be responsible for the overall day-to-day general operation of the office, including, but not limited to, answering phones, arranging appointments, responding to inquiries, etc. as well as maintaining all financial information surrounding the operation of the business and producing necessary financial and fundraising reports as required. Other duties may be required in the promotion, marketing and advertising in a not for profit environment.
As the ideal candidate, you possess a minimum of high school education, supplemented by college or university diploma in accounting and/or bookkeeping; you are very detail orientated and competent in dealing with financial matters in a timely manner; you are an excellent communicator who enjoys interacting with a variety of people, professional and work well independently and as part of a team. You are computer literate with a solid proficiency with MS Office and Simply Accounting (mandatory). Bilingual proficiency in both French and English is preferred, but not mandatory. Strong knowledge of volunteer and donor management, marketing and grant application is an asset. Minimum 5 years of experience working in a finance/admin assistant position.
